The Norwegian “lion club” for Maltese Illiam is a specially tailored bicycle

The world-famous Brazilian writer Paulo Koeley has said, “If you want something, the whole world is in your hands to help you.” On the afternoon of 15 October, the truth of that expression proved to be the closest way.

THE 12 th grade school student of Maltas, Ilja Orlov, who has been disrupted since birth, had been dreaming for some time about a new, specially adapted bicycle with three wheels. For the active and musical youth, this bicycle is extremely necessary because of the opportunities for independent mobility, both by attending school and in the lessons of interest education. The efforts of parents to find and purchase such a bicycle did not result in success, so the information was sent further. The municipal council of the municipality of Rezekne also sent the request of the Orlov family to his co-operation partners for the Norwegian lion club (“Lions Club Ullensaker Klofta”). And there was a miracle: not even the month when Yang Ronning and Jan Bakke had received their dreams.
Joy and gratitude for the gift received came from the eyes of the young man. “Thank you,” Ilja said in a song and told him that, by now, about a hundred metres away, he had borrowed 40 minutes to his school, but he would be able to get in 10 minutes with a bicycle. In addition, it would make it easier for the boys who had brought their son to school every morning.
Once again, it was confirmed that every donation, each desire to help, brings enormous satisfaction to both the recipient and the donor and the goodness of the co-workers, the responsiveness and the warmth of the heart is a non-exhaustive source. “Lion Club International” support for families in Rēzekne municipality, making it lighter and lighter for everyday life, is indispensable and essential, and therefore, on behalf of the local community, thank our charity.
