Cleared Rēzekne District Championships in 64-field checkers

On 23 March, AT THE premises OF Maltā, chess and checker club, the opening championship of Rezekne was held in a 64-field checker. This tournament was also marked by the fact that the 25-year anniversary of the checker club “Malta” was marked.
Prior to the beginning of the tournament, gratitude for the development of a life-saving damper IN Maltā was received by the founder of the club and the checker coach Donate Kondrov. Congratulating the checker club “Malta” on THE anniversary of Maltas parish administration Vitalijs Skudra, who was also given gratitude for the support and cooperation in the development of the checkers IN Maltā.
The tournament was attended by checkers from Rezekne and Viļānu, as well as Daugavpils. In the women's competition on the Rēzekne District Championship, Christine Malahovsky from Viļāniem, leaving Kudrjavceva in 2 nd place, and in 3 rd place, Ellen Colitis, both of the Rēzekne municipality. In the men's tournament, in all batches, Daugavpils representative Nikolai Dmitiev became the champion of Rezekne. With 2 nd place, he had to settle for the last year champion Victor Kovaov from Rēzekne District, and another representative of Daugavpils Tadeuks Turonoks ranked in 3 rd place.
