Come up with a competition for pupils, start with yourself – 2019! “”
SIA “ALAAS '”, in collaboration with THE “Latvian Green Point” “, organized a competition in the collection of secondary material,“ start with yourself! ”. The aim of this competition is to involve students of educational institutions in the sorting of active waste and the conservation of natural resources. When the package reaches the end of the life cycle, it remains in the economy where it is used again and again to create new things.
By April 8, the competitions collected empty, flattened PET bottles and HDPE packaging. 12 participants participated in the competition this year:

- Rezekne Boarding School - Development Centre
- Rēzekne municipality, Audriņu primary school
- Rēzekne Municipality Sakstagala Jānis KCo.

- Kaunatas PII, bell ''
- Rezekne District Nautrēnu High School
- Eastern Latvian Technology Secondary School
The 1 st place in the competition was acquired by the Rēzekne primary school, the pupils gathered 2380 kilograms of packaging during the school year. They were the winners of the competition in the past years. Congratulations!
2 nd place - Rēzekne Municipality Sakstagala Jānis KCo. for primary school – they collected 560 kilograms of recycled material! Malachi!
3 rd place - Rezekne municipality for the primary school of Rezne – collected 490 kilograms OF PET bottles and HDPE packaging!
Together, all competitors have collected 5040 kilograms of recycled material! Thank everyone who participated in the competition!
The winners and participants of the competition will be celebrated at the final event of the competition on May 14, Rēzekne District, Sakstagala Jānis KCo.
