Ozo young people visit Brussels and the European Parliament

11.05.2015

For young people

On April 21-25, that year, “Ozo young people” or Ozolaines parish young people visited Europe's heart in Brussels. Young people visited the European Parliament and met a fellow Member of the European Parliament, Krišikani, who spoke about the work and daily work of Members of Parliament.
Young people visited the historical sites of Brussels, saw the famous “Manneken Pis” or “churning boy” and the less famous “churning girl”, visited several museums – the interactive European Parliament museum “Parlamentarium”, the unique Brussels symbol and the science museum “Atomium”, as well as the success of all the most famous European places. In the entertainment programme, young people enjoyed the pleasure of water for four hours in waterpark “Oceade”.
Young people experienced a very positive and useful experience, as well as an interesting and exciting experience with the functions and work of the European Union and the European Parliament.
The cost of all the pleasure was covered by the Rēzekne municipality council, who, at the end of last year, awarded the Ozo young people EUR 3500 for the trip as a prize for the “most active youth parish 2014”.
Thanks to Rēzekne's council for this excellent opportunity, as well as personally -- the interest education specialist Guntaram Skudar and the youth case specialist Janis Šaudis on the advice for organising the trip.
