On the acceptance of the construction of the south-west of Rezekne

On 6 June 2019, the council of Rēzekne Municipality adopted a decision (minutes of the meeting of the Council No. 13 45), with a supplement (minutes of the meeting of 20 June 2019, No. 14 § 7), which, in accordance with the procedures laid down in the Law, provides for acceptance of the planned operation OF Option 1 of the Rēzekne Southern byway with modifications proposed BY THE STATE Roads of Latvia.
The decision and its justification may be found on the website of the municipality in the www.rezeknesnovads.lv section of the municipality/municipality council. In taking the decision, the environmental impact assessment and the opinion issued by the State Bureau of Environmental Monitoring, the results of public consultations, as well as the conformity of the planned activity with the spatial plan of Rezekne municipality were taken into account.
The planned south-west route of Rezekne is a motorway A15 Rēzekne border connection to the main road of the main road of international significance A12 Jçkabpils-Rēzekne-Ludza-Russian border (Terehova) in the territory OF Rezekne Rēzekne (Ozolaines and Griškānu parish). This is a national development project aimed at providing rapid traffic opportunities for optimal transit and freight traffic, as well as for the unloading of the urban transport infrastructure of Rezekne.
Although construction is intended not earlier than 2035, the transport infrastructure of this scale must be planned at this time by reserving the necessary corridor.
We draw your attention to the fact that Option 1 of the approved bypass placement, with the modification, foresees that from planned 14 955 m to approximately 3 800 m out of the planned transport corridor of the Rēzekne municipality. Such modification was carried out with the utmost account of the public interest, which would result in the construction of a road as a result of the construction of a road.
If there is an in-depth interest in this matter, we are invited to use the website of the NATIONAL Bureau of Latvia's National Roads and Environmental Monitoring Bureau, where all materials related to the discussion of this project have been placed and publicly available, including public consultation protocols, environmental impact assessment, technical solutions, measures to be taken to prevent or reduce adverse environmental impacts etc.
