Food packages will be delivered to pupils in the near future!

On the basis of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers that from 26 October to 6 December 2020, the acquisition of the General Basic Education Programme and the General Secondary Education Programme in Classes 7-12 shall be carried out remotely (the special educational institution shall continue to implement the learning process in accordance with the model chosen by the school), a decision was taken at the Rēzekne municipality meeting on 5 November that all the students of the Rezekne District School, who are studying remotely, shall be provided with food packages. In addition, at the last minute, the Rēzekne municipality's council decision also included support for all secondary schools, not only for classes 7-9. This resulted in additional calculations, ordering, logistics and parcel preparation, so the supply of food parcels delayed. As the emergency situation in the country from 9 November to 6 December is announced, classes 7-12 will be provided with food packages for a further three weeks. These packages are planned to be issued from 23 November – for the period from 16 November to 4 December for 14 distant training days for all students of Classes 7-12. Such a decision of the council is to be supported because the circle of beneficiaries is expanded, so that is why we ask for a little patience. We apologize for the inconvenience and excitement.
