Honorary signs of the Latvian National Defence Fund “Lāčplēsis”

The Latvian National Defence Fund “Lāčplēsis” has already established a tradition at least twice a year in Rezekne Municipality and city residents to provide the foundation's awards as gratitude for special achievements and long-term, prestigious work for Latvia. On October 30, a three-man performance in various areas was assessed at THE Lūznavas Manor with the foundation award.

Antoņina Erta was awarded a long-term, fair and active contribution to the development of the forest sector by the Latvian National Defence Fund Lāčplēsis. In general, Antoņina Erta has worked for 40 years in the forest sector, which has also received several awards, including a medal of the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the highest award of the forest sector – a gold chiefs – for a life contribution. The honorary sign of the Lāčplēsis Foundation also joined these awards.

A Latvian patriot, Nagļu parish citizen Juris Taukulis, who held a red-white Latvian flag on 18 November 1987 in the centre of Nagļu, above the water reservoir, was awarded the honorary mark in bronze. Although the security services were arrested soon after, Juri was arrested and he had a long trial, but he had earned the dignity and admiration of the people, because he was one of the first brave men who started the People's Road to the awakening.

A long-term and professional approach to addressing labour issues in the field of State technical supervision with the honorary mark of the Latvian National Defence Fund “Lāčplēsis” in bronze is the senior inspector of the National Technical Supervision Agency Latgale Region Division, Vitold Pleškans. In the field of technical supervision, Vitold Pleškans has been working since 1975, ensuring the operation of technically appropriate and secure tractors at workplaces. He describes him as a demanding, but also, at the same time, a responsive, polite and knowledgeable inspector who is a supporter and supporter of the implementation of technical progress.

As the Vice-President of Latvian National Defence Fund Lāčplēsis, 12. The Saeima deputy Gunārs Kotris, the foundation is established with the goal of bringing together people who have stood at the birth of Latvia who had defended Latvia on 11 November 1919 and who participated in subsequent struggles to protect Latvia and promote the growth of our country. The Foundation has planned to continue with honorary signs to highlight people who have invested significant work in order to strengthen the prosperity of independent Latvia.
