Results of local elections in Rezekne municipality

The results of local elections show that three lists have been taken from the nine lists IN Rezekne's municipality. Seven representatives of the “Harmony Centre” association of political parties, six candidates from the “new time”, “civil Union” and “People's Party” list, as well as four seats in the new municipality council, have been acquired by the Rēzekne municipality.

24 419 or 50.671 TP1T voters took part in the municipal elections in the municipality of Rezekne from 24 509. On the political party association “Harmony Centre”, 35.211 TP1T or 4363 voters, 27,561 TP1T or 3415 voters voted in favour of the “new time”, “civil Union” and “People's Party” list, while 20,601 TP1T or 2552 voters support “Greens and Farmers”.

On Monday, June 8, a meeting was held in which the elected Members discussed further action to ensure the successful launch of the pipeline. The meeting reached agreement on the joint operation of all parties that have entered the council, without forming coalitions, which also means shared responsibility for the work to be carried out. In the near future, working groups will be formed to develop draft regulatory documents of the municipality, prepare proposals regarding the organisational structure of county council and parish administrations etc.

The candidates of all lists thanked those who took part in the elections of the Rēzekne District Council and hoped that the public activity of the population would continue to be underestimated.
