Little My Father
Two-hand width,
Dear my father-in-law
Two-hand warmth,
Deep my father-in-law
Throughout his life.

The rainy and cloudy month of November, in the High School of Tisky, runs the symbol of Latvia in the emblem of Latvia. This is the most patriotic month of the year, when both the day of proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, the Day of Lāčplēsis and Martin. In November, in particular, patriotic values, dignity and love of their country are highlighted. This month, events are taking place on the 97 th anniversary of our country.
As the first festival celebration was celebrated on 10 November by Martin's children - 2 nd class pupils with their class mentor Gaļina Žugunov. The event started with the Latvian people's song “Martin drove winter road” in the 2 nd class performance, “Gypsy” Viviane Jakusenka, Maria Bitāne, and “housewife” Sophie Verjovkin led a event in Latvian, telling of festival, Martin's beliefs, scandalous peoples songs, guided toy and dance competition. There was a presentation. The primary school pupils and pre-school students organised a cocktail exhibition, a vote on the best gazelle, and after the voting results, all winners obtained Saldus sugars and diplomas. Class 2 also took care of the school lobby design for public holidays.
The school lobby includes an exhibition of the Tatjana Višnakovas painting of Tatjana Višnakovas, a student of the Latvian Academy of Art, “Welfare for the parish of Silmalas”. Thanks to Tatjana's works, we could smell summer in mid-November. The painting is simple – rural life, hay time, beehive hives, lake – but the colors are so bright and saturated that the simplicity is flashing in an unusual light.
On November 11, an erudition competition was held for the 9 th-12 th class students “My Latvia”, which was directed and hosted by the history teacher Janina Rupaine.
11. -17.11. Latvian language and literature week “we live in Latvia! We are talking Latvian!”, during which students tried more to speak Latvian. The primary school pupils participated in the drawing competition “My Latvia”. The Latvian language Olympics took place in each class.
On 13 November, Major Edgars Erts visited the school. Classes 9-12 had an opportunity to listen to the lecture “how to protect Latvia?” and narrative about the activities of air, land, sea and special units, and to watch a presentation. During the conversation, the Major gave the prizes to the most active pupils who answered questions.
In the afternoon of 17 November, the festive festival concert - in the direction of Latvia, there was a lot of beautiful songs about Latvia – both patriotic and Latvian peoples. The pupils read the poetry and scented Dinah about Latvia's provinces, rivers, cities. We all watched the presentation of the most beautiful places of Latvia, the melody of Raimonda Paula in the performances of the instrumental ensemble. The event was prepared by Latvian language and music teachers Iveta Bondare, Ludmila Schmaukstele, Yelena Bažanova and Irina Scherbacov. The school director Olga Missevich and the Deputy Director at the Elita Valenieka event celebrated the winners of the Olympics, competitions and sports competitions with diplomas and sweet prizes. And, of course, all together – pupils, teachers and parents – proud of their Latvia, sang the anthem of Latvia and Rezekne.
On 19 November, our primary and secondary school vocals took part in the event “My song for Latvia”, with very beautiful folk songs and songs about their homeland. The participants of our little voxal ensemble performed the song “with the train in Riga”, while the high school ensemble - Andra Kivich and Laura Dabares song “Latvia”.
On November 20, students had the opportunity to meet with the former graduate of our school, the National Border Guard Representative Alexander Petrovskis, to obtain more information on the work of border guards and kineologists, as well as to learn about the possibilities of study in college. The most pleasure for pupils was the demonstration of security and special task service senior inspector and service dog elf.
Let us remember that our country is our own – our thoughts, our actions and our accomplishment!
