Available FUNDING of EU funds for the development of family practitioners

Medical treatment institutions and local governments may apply for financing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the improvement of the infrastructure of family doctors. For this purpose, more than eur 3.1 million is available from THE ERDF in the subround of projects that will last until 24 April.
In the practice of family doctors with ERDF co-financing of 85% and the co-financing of the State budget FOR THE amount OF 9%, it will be possible to perform both construction and environmental improvement works and to supplement medical, economic and information technology equipment and purchase furniture.
ERDF funding in this project selection can be logged in medical treatment institutionswho provide the services of the State-paid family doctor or provide premises, equipment for the provision of these services. Similarly, ERDF funding can be obtained local governments or its institutionsproviding facilities, equipment for the provision of family doctors services.
IN THE EU fund programme, which contributes to the availability of healthcare services by improving infrastructure in medical treatment institutions, in the first sub-round of the fourth project selection round, 3 167 418 euro and 335 373 euros are available for improvement of the practice of family practitioners from THE ERDF.
Project applications are accepted by the Central Finance and Contract Agency (CFLA) from this year 25 February to 24 April. The documentation of the selection of project applications, as well as the information useful for the preparation of submissions shall be available in the SECTION of THE CFLA website “Promulgated selections”. Information for the preparation of project applications will be provided in seminars in Riga and regions in March and April – for these activities, information will be available in the SECTION of THE CFLA website “Measures”. ERDF support for the infrastructure of family doctors' practices is provided for in the specific support objective of the operational programme “Growth and Employment” of 9.3.2. “to improve the availability of quality healthcare services, in particular to the population at risk of social, territorial exclusion and poverty through the development of health care infrastructure” in the fourth round of the selection of project applications.
