THE EC Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG Agri) calls for the application for a grant — project application competition for information measures in the field of the common agricultural policy for 2017. The proposal for information measures prepared by the participants should show how THE CAP contributes to the implementation of the Commission's political priorities. It should be remembered that THE CAP is for all A policy for European citizens that affects their lives in very many ways. In particular, the proposals should describe THE contribution OF THE CAP:

- promoting employment, growth and investment in rural areas and maintaining viable rural communities throughout the European Union;

- the IMPLEMENTATION of THE EU 2030 climate and energy framework, focusing in particular on the potential of agriculture and forestry in measures aimed at adapting to and mitigating climate change;

- sustainable agricultural production which meets the requirement to achieve both food security and the protection of the countryside, including the quality and quantity of water;

- the provision of fair compensation to farmers from the agricultural and food chain in order to preserve the viability of European agricultural production and the family farm model in the future.

Information measure the target audience is society as a whole (especially young people) and/or farmers and other people in rural areas.
