RA Honorary graduate Dina Zvejsalniece: “My garden is my classroom”

In 2010, Dina Zvejsalniece graduated from the Economics Faculty of Rezekne High School (RA), obtaining the qualification of an economist, while an educational and design faculty was graduated in 2013, obtaining the qualification of the environmental designer.

On the choice of studying in these study programmes, Dina says, “I'm a little businessman and i have my own gardening.” Of course, economic knowledge and direct speciality education in garden design are necessary. And the school is a challenge of life that raises self-assessment and changes the look at existing things, like travel. '

The design studio Dainai gave an additional impulse to be more creative and inspired by the environment to reintegrate the impressions back into the world through the garden.

The graduate recalls that the most brightest event in the study process was the Erasmus Klaipeda exchange programme. “I recommend that other students take advantage of this opportunity to supplement the luggage of their knowledge and life experiences,” she says.

Dinah's heart is floristic. She owns one of the richest and most diverse collection of ornamental plants. “The gardener from the garden designer is distinguished by the vision of plants. The designer is able to see the solution of the opinion in one plant, which has the relevant texture or tone, as the pavement of the roads, grassland, environmental object etc. are also used for the installation of the environment. The artist can't do anything, he needs to express himself. Only every one does it through his prize. My basic material is plants and my garden is my class. In that, i check the soulness of plants, look at how they are acclimatised, how they“ live ”with each other, thus acquiring knowledge that cannot be obtained at any other school. The greatest satisfaction in this work is when a couple of years later, and see that the customer is able to cope with the cleaning process and the garden has become cuffed. '

Dina acknowledges that the profession combines two spheres: plants and art. “As an artist, it is very important to feel the area in question as a spatial object, as a gardener, in the light of ecological conditions, to fill this space with appropriate plants which constitute the common garden idea. And the main thing is that the commissioning party will receive an easy-to-eat garden in the long term,” says Dina.

The love of flowers FOR RA graduates comes from the infant. This was encouraged by the love of parents and the passion of flowers. “It is a sort of meditation, relaxation, and also a challenge – to see the shape, surface, nature of the most conventional nature, and create new ideas and new feelings. My favorites are flowers green – green gladiol, green tulips, green roses, fights etc. '

Dina does not hide the joy when he receives THE title of a RA honorary graduate: “surprises come every day, the main thing is to follow them, living in peace and enjoying a moment, be seen.” But this news was undoubtedly an unexpected and very nice surprise. Thank you! '

For the future students OF the Rēzekne Technology Academy, RA graduate says: “we each are a pre-start for a dream, and it turns out that we can help the people most by going through our way, believing ourselves and doing what we truly love. We will solve our problems by ourselves instead of saving them on other shoulders or taking a different burden, which we are not actually able to bring or solve. To make a dream and become a creator of his life. '
