With the support of the municipality of Rezekne, two projects have been implemented in the Bikava Church

This year was particularly successful in THE parish of the Roman Catholic Church of Bikava, the Catholic Catholic Church OF Rome. Two important projects have been implemented, which resulted in the church becoming more organized and more beautiful. The implementation of projects would have been very complex without the support of the municipality of Rezekne.
Thanks to project applications drawn up by the members of the parish, Inga Zapānes, the congregation implemented a project co-financed by the Western Bank charity fund “Restoration of the central altar of the Catholic Catholic Church of Bikava and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development” and the programme of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development 2014-2020 “Implementation of activities under the community-led local development strategy” project No 16-01-AL15-a019 .2201-000009 “Conservation of cultural heritage and the development of related tourism services in the municipality OF Rezekne”.
The restoration of the central altar was performed by the old master of the restoration, Staņislavs Astics. In the period from May to August, the central altar of the church was restored on the basis of the uncovered layers of colour and forming it, according to the current shadows of the church walls, which opened during the study. In addition to the financing granted by the Western Bank, the support of the municipality of Rezekne is provided in accordance with Regulation No. 14 of the municipality of Rezekne “the procedures for granting the co-financing of the municipality of Rezekne for preservation of cultural monuments” – 4000, 00 EUR.
The “preservation of cultural heritage and the development of tourism services related to it in the municipality of Rēzekne Municipality Gaigalavas parish”, which gained FD public funding, was subject to simplified restoration of the church facade. As the total costs of the project were significantly increased and the parity funds were not sufficiently successful for the completion of the project, the aid was provided by the municipality. The support of the municipality of Rezekne, which is provided in accordance with Regulation No. 14 of the municipality of Rezekne, “the procedures for granting the co-financing of the Rēzekne District Council for the preservation of cultural monuments” – 8000, 00 EURO in this situation was very significant, which allowed the family to continue work and settle with the performer of work - SIA “ERSIL” and the other service providers.
The congregation of the Catholic Catholic Church of the Holy Jesus of Jesus wishes to express great thanks to the local government of Rezekne for the support that allowed the planned activities to be carried out and to rebuild the cultural monuments of local significance for the joy of the parish members and the rest of the church. Special thanks should be given to Liene Drulei, Ingai Zapane, Roberta Voitam, Senior Zinaid Cross, Christian Kalk, John Walk, Imanta Spīch, Christine Trimalien, school collector, and Director Ināra Usis, Gaigalavas parish, parish herd Inta Birkei, and parish choir “Aism”, builders, Boowyeast and all donors. In particular, MR Saleniekam, A. Brencim, V. Bernne, Z/s “Ladies” and Peterim Stank, SIA “ARBALT”, SIA “Sia“ Sia ”, SIA“ Sprudzeva M ”, Verems Rezekne Special Economic Zone SIA and all other donors, who allowed the dream of restoring the church.
