Griškānu in the pre-school educational institution “Sprudzes”, a sensation room

On 13 September 2019, the Regional Agricultural Administration of the Rural Support Service approved the project application “Installation of sensation room with relaxation and stimulation sensation for children of Rezekne municipality” No. 19-01-AL15-a019 .2203-000003. The project was submitted to Action 19.2 of the Latvian Rural Development Programme 2014-2020. In the context of “development of social and health services”, the LEADER project competition launched by the Community Partnership for the Rēzekne District Communities. The project applicant is an association "Griškānu parish women's club 'smile'.
The purpose of the project is to create a sensation room for the children of Rezekne in warm sand equipment and light therapy.
Recently there are very many children with speech development problems, passive contact with the surrounding world and peers. There are children with elevated hyperactivity, perceptions and reactions, and frequently diseased children (somatic diseases). Activities with warm sand will help children to develop and reduce the difference between peers by the start of primary education, by reducing the gap in language development and psychotional development.
The warm sand machine, together with the methodological features, has already been purchased and installed. Rehabilitation equipment for the implementation of color, key and sound therapy has been purchased. Training of specialists is ongoing as only trained specialists will be involved with the warm sand facility. The training takes place following a special methodology developed by Diana Timofejeva (Natural Embassy Study).
It is planned to commence in September of that year.
The total cost of the project is 17336, 72 EURO, including EAFRD funding OF 90% or 13069,54 EURO, municipal co-financing OF 10% 1452,18 EURO and ineligible costs (training of specialists) 2815,00 EURO.
