Rēzekne Municipality Daily Inventory
Rich, colourful, true and sincere, it can describe the end of the Days of Rezekne on 19 July in Anchupan Kartodroma.
Visitors to Anchupans flooded already at noon when the teams were able to match the forces in the quarrel, while at 15.00 on the day, the most magnificent festival event, the parish of parish, in which all 25 Rēzekne municipality county administrations could show what they were rich and strong. From Audriņiem to Vērēmiem, singing, playing, showing an improvised theatre in each tent, there was an artisanal exhibition and a culinary heritage tasting in each tent. Visitors could determine where the parish holding is the most delicious cheese and pies, the owners – the best medals or the chmakovyn, Nagļi proud of Luban fish, Rikava – with shitaker mushrooms, Nautrēni – with the special garlic flowers pesto. Sakstagala stew and Razna fish soup, Ilzeskalna honey cells and herbal tea from Sherjan flowers meadows – each parish had something to do.
Similarly, the parish was filled with their craftsmen – the blacksmith Janis Lubka Nautrens, the podiers – Peter Gailums Ilzeskalns, Aivars and the breeze Ushpeals Maltā, Staņislavs Vilums Ozolain, Vogulu family Lendes, weavers, needles, stitches. There had also been a total of unusual guests from ancient times – Mr. Rick Josef, with Pani Sofia, the owner of THE Lūznavas manor with his dazzling beauty, the daughter of Lake Luban's water and THE luck of Griškānu, and also the eyes of Feimaņu men, dressed in ancient Latvian gowns. Stoļerovas and Pušas people called for creative workshops, while Berzins could not only get acquainted with the rich variety of local peasants, but also check their knowledge of the parish competition. These parish divisions had been held for the first time, but the organisers agreed that it could be a festive tradition in the future.
There were seven tens of businessmen, not just from Latgale. The biggest joy was for the producers of Rezekne municipality, because in this way local businessmen and domestic producers can be supported and encouraged not to keep candles under the doorway so that Latvian nowadays and city festivals do not turn into a demonstration of the non-volatile shines produced in China.
After the exciting and laughing parish of the parish, the attendants were invited to a festive concert “sing and dancing for their municipality”, which took part in the Rēzekne municipality's mixed choir “Ezerland”, the Rēzekne municipality and John Ivanova Rēzekne's musical secondary school pub orchestra, the Rēzekne municipality dance collectors, as well as the guests – Kupiiski District (Lithuania) music ensemble “Iki Ryto”, Zgierza (Poland) vokal group and the chapel “Giecznianki” and the vocal group Szczawinianki, as well as Postavi District (Belarus) People's music group “Maladzica”.
During the concert, speaking to the present, the President OF the Rēzekne District Council, Monvīds Švarcs, thanked everyone who had worked unselessly for a week to create unforgettable and joyful festivals: “thanks to anyone who invested in his work and a particle of heart, so that day-to-day visitors can forget daily worries and enjoy colourful and versatile Rēzekne-led festivals.”
The Rēzekne Municipality celebrated the festival marathon with a lusty night concert, with more than ten popular groups, “Bad Boys Blue” (Germany), “Big Al & the jokers” (Lithuania and Latvia), iron wolf new Jāņu orchestra, “crayon”, “no VAT”, “rikis” and others.
It should be noted that more than a hundred different events took place during the days of Rēzekne municipality in all 25 municipalities: concerts, balls, exhibitions, sports competitions, creative workshops and other activities, so that all residents of the municipality, as participants, viewers or organisers, had the opportunity to participate in festive events.
