The municipality of Rezekne reminds the municipality of the work and action during the emergency

In view of the Cabinet of Ministers's order of 14 March of that year on the announcement of emergency situation in order to limit the spread of Covid-19, the municipality of Rezekne has expressed awareness and support for measures put in place by the government to limit the spread of the virus. Let us be responsible, be treated with awareness, take into account the instructions of the Ministry of Disease Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health to work together for one purpose, effectively limiting the prevalence of Covid-19.
If citizens have information regarding a possible violation of the law, including possible violations of the emergency restrictions imposed by the government, we are invited to call the State Police by telephone 110. The national police will be able to respond faster to the information received! We call on citizens to be responsible and to follow the precautionary measures.
Lieutenant p.i. Colonel Podgazis, head of the National Police Latgale Region Administration, informed that the police were working to control the situation and prevent irregularities. On the last day of the day, the staff of the Rēzekne District went into four calls for alleged violations.
The State Police informs that a fine of up to EUR 350 (LAPK 176.2) may be imposed on residents regarding violation of restrictions or prohibitions imposed by the government. The State Police shall supervise the public places where people could gather, as well as, upon receipt of information, the police shall respond and assess the alleged violations accordingly. THE MP calls on citizens to be responsible and to follow the precautionary measures. Each case will be assessed individually. The objective of the restrictive measures is to prevent or stop the massive assembly of persons. If the restrictions are infringed, a penalty may be imposed.
The municipality of Latvia invites residents to receive the services of state and local government institutions remotely, not to gather to reduce the risk of infection. The municipality of Rezekne is working to provide services to its residents, most of which are remote services, but customers are also served on the spot if necessary. Social service employees have created lists to understand which customers need the most. The upper end of the list is the lonely pensioners, the lonely parents, the multinationals and the risk families, those who need the most everyday assistance.
