The municipality of Rezekne proclaims the competition to the position of the senior environmental protection specialist

The municipality of Rezekne announces the open competition to the position of the senior environmental protection specialist of the local government development planning department of Rezekne.
Deadline for submission of applicants and submission of documents required – 26 May 2020 at 12.00.

Applicants must comply with the following requirements (detailed basic obligations include: in the description of the position):

• Higher education in environmental science with environmental protection and/or environmental engineering.
•  Professional experience of a post - at least 2 (two) years;
• A work experience appropriate to a post at a State or local government institution, deciding on the eligibility of a tenderer, may be regarded as an advantage;
• The experience of project design, implementation and/or experience in the area of spatial planning, which is critical of the eligibility of the applicant, may be considered as an advantage;
• The knowledge of the national language at the highest level;
• The ability to handle information technologies, electronic communications and office equipment.
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations necessary for the performance of duties and the ability to focus on them.
• Communication, good team work skills, ability to manage, organize process, high-contact culture, ability to make objective, reasoned conclusions and make decisions independently.

• a description of the professional activity (CV);
• a letter of motivation;
• copies of documents certifying education and work experience;
• application questionnaire.

The Environmental Protection Officer shall ensure the development and execution of environmental protection and management tasks in Rezekne District, apply the environmental and general laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia, international and European Union and use the possibilities of the institutional system of environmental protection to address environmental management tasks. The work requires concentration abilities, good memory and communication capabilities, the ability to use their knowledge in the analysis of documents, facts and information.
