Projects of the Environmental Protection Fund are implemented in schools in Rezekne municipality

On 13 March 2015, the Council of the Rēzekne municipality launched a call for funding for school projects in the field of environmental protection aimed at education and training. The invitation to tender stipulates that the activities to be supported are environmental education activities, the research of the environment and natural resources, as well as the establishment of environmental infrastructure, including the establishment of open-air school classes, the creation of natural trails or natural corners of nature.
Only one project application could be submitted by one tenderer. The maximum funding for one project should not exceed EUR 2000,00. It is important to note that students should be involved in all assisted activities.
12 European Schools of Rezekne, currently carrying out the following projects, participated in the competition:
Adamowa Special Inboarding School. “Establishment of an open-air school class in the territory of the Adamowa Special Inboarding School”. Funding allocated to the project EUR 2000,00
Audriņu primary school. “Establishment of an open-air teaching class AT Audriņu elementary school”. The project will result in the creation of a freshwater school class, planted flowers, planted flowers and decorative bushes. EUR 2000,00 allocated to the project.
• Primary primary school. “Bird town”. Bird cages and nursery will be produced and information materials are installed under each bird cage. EUR 2000,00 allocated to the project.
Feimaņi primary school realizes project “In the center of nature.” There will be a well-equipped school school and a recreational place in a sports area that can be used as a free-nature class, planted flower holes, planted decorative trees. EUR 2000,00 allocated to the project.
Tiskadi High School realizes project “Natural Intelligence Trail at the High School of Three”where the nature trail (700 m) will be created, an information stand with a natural path plan is installed, a place for outdoor activities – a footer with a blackboard. EUR 2000,00 allocated to the project.
Maltas secondary school unit primary school realizes project Environmental and Natural Resources Research of the Nature Monument “Laizāns Park”where a park area is explored in the management of natural knowledge teachers and experts, the inventory of park plantations and the identification of species, the establishment of a park object map, the inventory of bird inventories, the preparation of a list of the most common bird species with images and descriptions, identified common lichens, moss species, organised 2 interactive lessons for pupils, research on the biomonitoring of mosses and lichens, 4 educational educational materials, the visual documentation of the park and the park renewal process, supplemented the school materials technical base in the context of project tasks. EUR 1972.22 allocated to the project.
Gaigalavas primary school unit Rikavas primary school realizes project “Colour joy”. In the course of the project, chairs for the open-air classroom will be produced and installed, three thematic flower beds are created – white, yellow and pink, produced and installed in bird cages and feeding birds (winter period). EUR 2000,00 allocated to the project.
Kaunatas High School realizes project “Vide – our mājas”where educational seminars on proper sorting of waste, Hiking, excursions, nature trails (references, benches, kindles) will be organised. EUR 1200,00 allocated to the project.
Primary School of Virginia realizes project “Monitor nature”. In collaboration with Dricānu secondary school, creative workshops will be held. Together with the florists, the school area will be greened and built. EUR 1220,00 allocated to the project.
Dricana Secondary School. “Installation of a green-class complex IN Dricānu secondary school”. A 15 m sensation trail (from natural materials - silks, chestnuts, chestnut, twisted cane, moss, etc.) will be installed, a campfire site is installed, a wooden table will be displayed in the tree leaf, which will be applied to the work of the pupils groups, a solar clock is installed. EUR 1747,70 allocated to the project.
Maltas Special Inboarding School realizes project “Creating a trail”where a training path for the exploration of natural objects will be created, a map of nature trail and educational materials regarding the natural objects included in the trail will be created. EUR 2000,00 allocated to the project.
Gaigalavas primary schools project “Let's look at nature” in the course of the course, an open-air training class from wooden structures for the organisation of outdoor activities, purchased equipment (portable microscopes etc.) will be installed. EUR 1996,50 allocated to the project.
All supported projects in schools should be completed by 30 October 2015.
