Rezekne municipality specialists in Norway will study work with special children

In order to study the adaptation of children with special needs in general educational institutions, the municipality of Rezekne has participated in the project “exchange of experience in Latvia, Norway, Swedish parents and teachers' support system with children with special needs” from 1 November. On 6 November, the special educators of the municipality of Rezekne, social workers, went to Arendal in Norway. There are meetings with professionals working with children with autism spectrum disorders, as well as children of children. Compared to Latvia, Norway has more experience with special children, allowing early diagnosis of problems and successfully addressing them.
The project “exchange of experience in the work of Latvia, Norway, Swedish parents and teachers' support system with children with special needs” provides for the exchange of social workers, social pedagogical experience exchanges to Norway and Sweden, which will be implemented by 31 March 2018.
The project is financed by the secretariat of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility and Network Programme for Public Administration, co-finer - municipality of Rezekne.
