Rēzekne municipality and Jānis Ivanova Rēzekne music secondary school pub orchestra – golden diploma

Rēzekne Municipality and Jānis Ivanova Rēzekne Music School of Musical Secondary Schools have begun a very successful year – an international competition in Prague is awarded a gold diploma in their category.
The festival MEZINÁRODNÍ FESTIVAL DECHOVÝCH HUDEB PRAHA took place in the 20 th and 17 th of February. This year, 14 orchestra from the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Italy and we had the honour to represent Latvia. The orchestra were assessed by a very serious jury, the Prague Castle Guard orchestra, as well as the Czech police blower orchestra, VÁCLAV BLAHUNEK, the chief conductor OF the Czech Army orchestra, JAROSLAV ŠÍP, and the guest from Hungary, the conductor and the teacher JÓZSEF CSIKOT. The Commission welcomed the musicality and technical performance of the orchestra. As part of the festival, the orchestra leaders also had a special honour – meeting the Mayor of Prague in Prague's heart - an old town in Riga.
Thank you for your support to the municipality of Rezekne for support. Of course, thank you very much to all the members of the orchestra – students, teachers and also our school graduates. It was a true joy and pride to play in such a composition!
Although the competition has already passed, it will not be possible to rest, as this year will be particularly tense for the orchestra, as there is still a lot of responsible speaking ahead. We'll go to Madona on March 2, where we'll be in the contest of Latvian educational institutions. On March 10, we'll be in Ogre and participate IN THE SELECTION of THE XXVI general Latvian song and XVI dance festival blower orchestra and the selection of festival participants. At the beginning of June, the orchestra will be conductive of the education programme “blowing game” of the School of Music High School of Ivanova Rēzekne in his professional qualification examination. Ahead of us is THE XXVI general Latvian song and XVI dance festival, which will be held on 30 June to 8 July.
