Rezekne municipality will be visited by representatives of Moldovan municipalities

On 9 and 10 September, the leaders and parliamentarians of several Moldovan municipalities will visit the municipality of Rezekne to promote cooperation between the two countries, take over positive examples and take innovative ideas into local government work.

Representatives from the city of Sohand and Jedinec, as well as Jedinec district, will visit Maltas High School and recently renovated Lūznavas Manor. The representatives of the local government of Moldova have expressed interest in addressing waste management issues, as well as cogeneration, so the visitors will be presented with the work of the East Latgale waste management company (SIA “ALAAS”), as well as a review of THE SIA “Sprudzeva M” biogas cogeneration station.

On the second day of the visit, visitors will visit RSEZ AS “Latvijas Finieris” factories “Verems”, while the view of the work of social care institutions in Moldovan Members will be able to win the Rēzekne District Office in Pilcene. The delegation will also visit several tourism companies in Rezekne: “Persons” IN Sakstagala parish, the Gunar Estonians' musical instrument workshop IN Gaigalavas parish, Jānis Macan Farmers “fishermen”, as well as the “beacon” of the watercourse development centre at Lubana Lake.

From 6 to 11 September, Latvia is visited by representatives from more than ten Moldovan municipalities. Delegations are visited not only in the municipality of Rēzekne but also in Daugavpils, the city of Rezekne, as well as in several municipalities in Vidzeme. The visit is organised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
