Education

The Rēzekne Technology Academy (RTA) is a time of meeting. Meet colleagues, senior student students, and RTA are particularly welcome to young people who start studying in the first course at the academy, coming from a wide range of secondary schools. Traditionally, September is the time of meeting the European scientists' night and the event “my teacher/a”, in which the academy says to each school and educators the greatest thanks for the time, work, creativity. During the period of admission, RTA High School graduates fill out the questionnaire, calling it a secondary school teacher who has supported, inspired, helped.
On 27 September, a large number of teachers gathered in the Academy, as the European scientists' night event could hear mag. paed. Sandra Drelingham lecture “skills necessary for the teacher in implementing the learning content of the competences approach”. The lecture organised BY THE RTA Lifelong Learning Centre listened to 100 teachers. On the other hand, after educational lessons, there was an opportunity to participate in the promotion of “my teacher/a” laureates and to listen to a group of children's rock band Žvurgzdyni. The young musicians – Martha Paula Seynene, Arta Viaver, Andrej Rasim and Mareks Gusāns – were surprised by their attractive performance, creating a solemn patriotic festive atmosphere.
RTA's rector, Professor Iveta Mietule, congratulated the educators, storing strength, creativity and strength in the day-to-day work. “We are grateful that your students have provided knowledge, skills and information about the possibilities of study in the region,” said I. Mietule. The rector gave her gratitude and commemoration to 41 schools, from which students from the Rēzekne Technology Academy had come to study young people in the first course.
On the evening of the teacher's day, the Prorectore Angelika Jusko-Schtekele, Prorector of Studies and Sciences, gave thanks to the teachers of the pupils, wishing to maintain optimism and remember the crucial importance of the work of the pedagogy. “The biggest satisfaction today is to see our graduates who have obtained higher education at our university, work successfully in different schools and apply the knowledge received in practice,” the prorector emphasized.
