Rogovic Etnographic ansamblis svin 25-year anniversary

25-year-old Sunday, 24 October, svin Nautrēnu parish, Rogovka Etnographic ensemble, which is based on the identification of local people's songs and traditions, the copying and transfer of Latvians to future generations.

More than 200 local people's songs, sentences and stories have been recorded. Thematic folklore programmes for the introduction of school youth to Latvian traditions and people's songs such as “wedding songs”, “Jesus Day”, “Christmas”. Now there is a chain of peoples' song “lini” in circulation. Ansablis has been a member of all international folklore festivals “Baltica”.

Ansabel's founder and manager have been Anna Garancha throughout these years. For his work in the preservation and promotion of the traditional art values of Latgale, she has been awarded an Intangible Cultural Heritage State Agency recognition article, which will be presented during the festive anniversary event. According to Inara Pleikšne, head of the cultural division of the municipality of Rēzeken, the successful and long-term work of the ensemble is based on the deep knowledge of the Garancha People's traditions and the ability to create an interest in the people of all generations.

For long-term and creative work, Rogovka's Etnographic ensemble will also be awarded the Rēzekne municipality's appreciation of the municipality.
