Sakstagala Francis Trassa Museum “Colnasate” - new Director

Open the open competition for the post of director of the “Colnasate” Museum of Francis Trassil. 10 bidders had applied for the competition, five of them were not directed to the second round of the competition due to the non-compliance of the documents requested. The competition Commission, which was composed of Olga Muraviova, head of the municipality of Sakstagala parish, the head of the cultural division of Rezekne, Inara Pleikšne, Director of the Museum of Prevention of Prevention and Applied Art, Texas Bekeša, head of the Latvian Museum of Cultural History of Latgale, and Signagala parish council, Tamara Tutin, examined the application questionnaires submitted by the remaining five participants in the competition, as well as the development proposals for the development of the activities of the museum “Colnasate” for five years. After an interview with each tenderer, summing up the assessment points, the highest rating was obtained by Ilona stone. She was born and raised in Sakstagala, a graduate of the University of Latvia's Humanities Sciences, worked in LU's literature institute, where her research work related to cultural history processes. With his family from Riga home, he is raised by a three-year-old son.
The work for development of the museum work developed by Ilona Akmenis for the coming years is based on the basic aim of the museum activities already set up so far – to install and maintain a viable complex of French Tradog museum, using the work of collection, storage, research, promotion and education, promoting the preservation of the parish of Sakstagala and the preservation of the entire cultural heritage of the municipality, maintaining close communication with the public, especially local people, the media, tourism information centres and educational institutions. One of the first directions of the new directorate will be a detailed and detailed introduction to the current museum activities, its stocks and exhibition, which has not been updated since the creation of the museum. The museum collectively looks forward to serious tasks – the involvement of Latgale in the centenary events of Congress, as Francis Tradog was one of the main initiators and inspirators of this important event, as well as preparation for the accreditation of the museum in 2017.
According to Paragraph 11 of the Museum Law, the new Director's candidature has yet to be approved in the museum council. 
The Sakstagala parish museum “Colnasate” was founded in 1992 to preserve and promote the memorial of the great Latgale clerk, politician, cultural and social worker Franz Trassa, his family and newspapers. The director of the previous museum and one of its designers, Valentine Bruzgule, has gone to rest.
