Education

This year, Sakstagala J. KCo's primary school curricula priority is to organise interdisciplinary lessons in the learning process and out-of-hour lessons. One of the topics of the activities is “Latvian trees in the vicinity of our school.” At the beginning of the school year, each class lowered their tree, which students would become familiar with and also introduce their schoolmen.
In implementing this project, the minds were brought together by classmates and artists' teachers. For class educators, the hour theme of the project was “tree in a jar.” Each class, together with a class grower, knew his tree, studying it, finding out what was the most characteristic of that tree. Students learn to be careful, work together, experiment, offer different solutions. Students had to find where their chartered tree grew up in the school surroundings and create work for the exhibition by gathering the wood leaves, needles, fruit, chicks, nuts, etc. in the glass container. The glass bubbles were designed and designed by the pupils Parliament.
In literature, the task was to know the poetry of trees, also to try out in the role of poets. We organized the school poetry for our Ozolina friends. The event started at our school oak with a common poem, under the direction of teacher Sanita Ivanovsk. Next, each class, along with the schoolmates, went to his tree in the surroundings of the school, scattered poetry and photographs. It was an opportunity for students to know and look at all the trees in our school.
In the hours of visual art we studied wooden images in both poetry photographs and other resources, trying to capture and display the tree-specific silhouette and color nuances. Each student painted Latvia's landscape with the representation of his wood. An ambitious exhibition of pupils' works “tree for the eyes of a child”, with which we also discovered the new exhibition hall of our school. The exhibition also covered the work of the crowd. The participants of the visual and practical art group searched for the most successful ways of tree styling, picking them up, making pillows with a wooden image (teacher Anita Doroščonoka). The “practical Latvian” group demonstrated the possibilities of using wood in art by making magnets, toys, clocks (see Alexander Doroshčonok).
In music, students knew songs about trees. Each class chose and learned one song about the tree of his class (see Janis Velicko). The best songs were played in the final event of the project, which would be Latvia without trees? “. The songs sang in the 2 nd class“ pines ”(class nurse Anita Kudl), class 3“ Berzins ”(clan). Rasma Pudule, class 7“ apples ”(clan) Lāsma Malta), class 8“ willow ”(clan) Daiga dzene) and 9 th class“ beans ”(clan) Arnis Cercens. The school ensemble“ Purenīte ”and the choir (see Janis Velicko) also spoke. The other classes were also actively involved in the event —“ oak ”class 1 (clan). Evita Kubecka and Class 5“ trees ”(clan) Sanita Ivanovsky danced dancing, 4 th grade“ maple ”(clan). Sandra Ostrovska and Class 6“ lazdas ”(clan) Anita Doroshchonoka spoke with poetry compositions. The performance of the pupils was even more generous with the classmates and the parents of the parents.
For the project “Latvian trees in the surroundings of our school”, the evaluation was performed by both students and teachers. By analysing what made it, we realized that we could do more. Class 2, along with parents, committed to planting decorative pines at the school; the 9 th class recommended the greening of the school pond. The participants of the “sport all class” project, class 3, want to separate the school stadium from the highway with hedge; the participants of the group “practical Latvians” promised to find practical application after the “Latvenergo” recommendation for the stolen trees and to create new exhibitions, exploring and emphasising the texture of wood. We will open a competition, within which the fathers and grandfathers of the pupils will be able to do animal images from the tree for our “boss nature trail” around the school.
We believe that the work is very well done – our school is organized, survived, sanctioned, drawn, a successful project in which everyone is a winner. Thank all students, class educators, teachers, event organisers and exhibitors for active participation in the project and school director Sylvia Freiberga on a nice idea for the project theme and support for our overall work!
