Start of project applications for the Nordic and Baltic Mobility Programme “Public Administration”
The Nordic and Baltic Mobility Programme “Public Administration” operates with the aim of promoting the harmonisation of administrative working methods in the public administration sector. The programme may be applied by public administration and local government employees (2-8 persons in the group).
The programme supports the exchange of experience with the recovery of successful solutions, networking, harmonisation of administrative working methods and legislation and the promotion of the global competitiveness of the Baltic Sea region.
The programme is administered by the Office of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Estonia, the contact person Madis Kanarbik, +372 7423625, public.administration@norden.ee.
In 2016, the Nordic and Baltic States' Mobility Programme received 83 applications from national and local government officials. Of these, 68 applications were approved and the total budget allocated is EUR 341 289. 19 applications have been received from Latvia and 17 are supported.

10 February from the At 14:00 to 16:00, a seminar on the opportunities offered by the Nordic and Baltic Mobility Programme “State Administration” will be held at the State Administration School (Rainis Boulevard 4, 1 st floor, room 118). The aim of the seminar is to inform the objectives of the programme to which it is intended and how it operates.
Daina Mežecka, administrator of the programme in Latvia, details the preparation of project applications, the criteria for evaluation of the project and the most typical errors. The workshop will also be able to hear examples of good practice and learn about experience in project implementation, the planning and implementation of international experience sharing visits and seminars, the search for foreign partners and the dissemination of results. The representative of the State Inspection Office of Construction Nelda Elsina, the representative of the State Agency for Employment Antra Jansone, the representative of the prison administration Daina Ruso and the representative of Cēsis Municipality Evija Taurene will participate in their experience.
