For the fourth consecutive year in Pušas, the parish has become a tradition of ice fishing, enthusiastic that year to catch the “Olympic fish.” It must be acknowledged that, compared to previous years, the number of participants was slightly smaller this year, which is due to the cold weather, but, as the fishermen themselves acknowledged, the cold is not an obstacle to the real copene.

As in previous years, there were also participants from Maltas, Daugavpils and even Madona municipality. Valdis Baroklis became the biggest owner of the role. The participants also acted in other nominations. Alexander Kudrjashaw became the owner of the largest fish, but the smallest – Maltese Stanislav Strod, where he participates in the competition every year and has not gone home without a prize. This year, the participants were also able to compete in a fairly amissive nomination, namely the latest and oldest fisherman's clearance, where the winner, Vladislavs Poplavskis, who also won the lowest role of the nomination, became the winner. As last year, his luck and talent in the angling fishing were also demonstrated by women, where his coppyskill was demonstrated by the Permanent Ilze Baronna and the teenager Anna Leonova. As the ladies themselves recognise, the angling of the ice is like drugs - if you have tried, then it becomes a dependency for all times.

Unlike other years, the participants had to prove their knowledge of fish recognition that year, after which they concluded that they had gone hard, but they knew more than half. In order to be fished, the fisherman must also know the Cabinet regulations, so the participants were also inspected in the knowledge of fishing regulations. It is a pleasure that everyone knew them, but some of them felt the dates when and which fish could or should not be caught.

None of the participants in the competition remained empty – someone was lucky to do more, but all the awards were all. The winners received diplomas and gifts that would be useful for future coping. After the competition, the participants were warming up with hot tea mugs and spicy fat pies. THE lake OF Pušas is not scoped with fish, and also, next year, awaits low-ice fishermen so that they can spend their free time together, rest and prove their success in the acquisition. Not asakas!
