Seminar for entrepreneurs on commercial practices

Association of Consumer Interests of Latvia on 8 October at 14.00 In the training centre East, N. Ranana street 23a organizes a seminar for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, whose topics are:

• Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and online dispute resolution (SIT)
• Unfair commercial practices and unfair contract terms

The aim of the seminar is to familiarise entrepreneurs with rules on unfair commercial practices and unfair contract terms. As regards commercial relations between companies and customers, EU rules on fairness and transparency of commercial practices are laid down by Directive 2005/29/EC on unfair commercial practices. Let us talk about unfair contract terms so that standard contract terms used by traders are fair and comprehensible to consumers.
There is also a dispute resolution (ADR) and Online Dispute Resolution (SIT) Platform in the workshop, which is an official site maintained by the European Commission and aimed at helping consumers and traders solve mutual disputes out-of-court.
