During the winter of 18 March, IN the morning of 18 March, IN the morning of 18 March, THE most subtle fishermen, in spite of the sharp wind, went after a large part to Lake Luban.
The eleven strongest, the most resistant, the fanatical fishermen of the low-ice cops were about half-seven in the morning to conquer Luban's expansions, scattering down the very slippery, almost transparent ice surface in a variety of directions, for each of them was convinced that the fish would be the best of his sight.
The competition was held for four hours in one round. The role of each fisherman was weighed on an electronic weighing instrument with an accuracy of up to one gram. Without fish, bigger or smaller, there was no one, and three winners were identified as they were in the competition.
This time John Wisch was best. He was first with a role of 2,163 kg. Aivars Laganovskis ranked in second place with a role of 1.659 kg, while Ainars Esta, whose role was 1.403 kg, was a third place. The winners received diplomas and memorials.
Aivars Laganovskis, owner of the largest fish (0.290 kg) and the smallest fish (0.002 kg). Small memorials received children – fishermen – Leonid Smirnov and Aigars Elksnis.
There were also Ināra Omuls, Armands Žurovskis, Valdis Jakuskins, Alvis Lizdics, Kristaps Groznijs, Kristaps Lizdics.
After the competition, the fishermen wore hot tea and tastes from the lake.
To keep the fishermen “not asakas!” and to meet in the summer of 2018!
