Rēzekne and Viļānu are celebrated in the fountains at the 14 th Book Festival
For the fourteenth time, on August 21, the publishers and the Rēzekne and Viļānu are gathering the book readers to celebrate the festival. This year they will be held in Sherjans and, as always, will be full of interesting events. Both small and small readers will be invited to meet the newest book authors, they will be able to purchase books issued by various publishers, but the public discussion with politicians will be devoted to a very topical theme today - “can we feel safe in Latvia?”. A buyers' lottery will be organised, but rural libraries will, as usual, receive book gifts from festival supporters.
Children and young people will be able to watch the demonstration of firefighters, but they will be gathered together at lunch in free nature at the Sherjan Lake “not asakas!”

15:00 - 15: 30 buyers participate in the latest book “successful buyer”.

12.00 “healthy dance!” – the acquisition of modern dance skills together with the teacher Vandu Ķebi - all age groups - in the primary school hall;
12:00 “Unknown Latvia” – meeting with the book author Gunti Enins (rural newspaper) for young people – primary school premises;
13:00 lunch “from big zives” – Lake Sherjan;
14:00 Sample demonstration and force competitions for young people – school stadium.
