Announcement of a project call for financing in activity “Establishment of environmental education infrastructure of national significance in honouring the centuries of Latvia's national existence”
The Latvian Environmental Protection Fund (LVAF) administration, in accordance with the decision of the Latvian Environment Protection Fund Council meeting No. 1 of 18 January 2017, launches a project tender for the receipt of financing in 2017/2018 in activity “Establishment of an environmental education infrastructure of national significance in honouring the centuries of the state of Latvia”.
Within the framework of the project competition, measures are supported for the establishment of environmental education infrastructure objects (including, but not limited to, reconstruction, fitting-out, fitting with necessary equipment) which meets one of the following basic criteria:
1) highlighting and honouring of persons, events and places relevant for the exploration, promotion and protection of natural values of Latvia;
2) preservation of the natural and environmental values of Latvia in the next 100 years;
3) creation of permanent values that, when telling Latvia's story, make a significant contribution to the preservation of Latvia's natural values.
The total available funding for projects in the competition is EUR 300 000,00.
Project applicants may be a association, foundation or local government registered in the Republic of Latvia. A partner, which may be a society registered in the Republic of Latvia, a foundation, a local government, a local government institution, a local government capital company, is also desirable to be involved in the implementation of the project.
Deadline for submission of project applications: March 17, 2017.
The project submission, in accordance with the requirements of the tender regulations, shall be submitted to the administration of the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund (Riga, export street 5, LV-1010) in personal working days from at noon. 9:00 to 17:00, or by registered mail by post or in an electronic document signed with a secure electronic signature.
The by-laws of the project tender and its annexes shall be electronically available on the website of the Administration of the Latvian Environment Protection Fund Administration www.lvafa.gov.lv in the section: “Project competitions”, “project tender regulations””.
