Launched project competition for start-up and development of business in Rezekne municipality

Project contest

The foundation “Rural Economic Development in Rezekne District” launches a project competition “support for the creation and development of companies in Rezekne municipality”. Time of submission of project applications from 18 June to 17 July 2018 at 16.30.
Total available funding: EUR 28 000.00. Maximum amount of Funding LEARN funding (Granta) per project: EUR 3 000.00. The co-financing of the project applicant shall not be less than 10 % from the amount of Grant applied for.
Objectives:

  • Support the implementation of projects of public-interest rural business development in Rezekne municipality.
  • Promote business development and take care of reducing unemployment in the municipality of Rezekne.
  • Promote the activity and participation of citizens in addressing topical challenges, contributing to improving their quality of life.

Applicants for aid:
Natural persons who:

  • planned to commence economic activity
  • commenced an economic activity but no financial year has been entered into and whose net turnover within the last 6 six months does not exceed EUR 3 500.00
  • carry out economic activities and whose net turnover in the previous year is not more than EUR 7 000,00.

Legal persons who:

  • planned to carry out economic activities
  • commenced an economic activity but no financial year has been entered into and whose net turnover within the last six months does not exceed EUR 7 500.00
  • carry out economic activities and whose net turnover in the previous year is not more than EUR 15 000,00.

One applicant may submit only one project application. Funding is not allocated to persons with tax debts.
Eligible costs:

  • inventory, purchase of equipment (the costs of supply and installation may be included in the price) by which the product will be produced, processed, sorted, built, moved (excluding mopeds, motorcycles, tricycles, quadricycles, light and trucks, buses), prepared for storage, packaged, stored or a service will be provided,
  • purchase of specific computer software,
  • purchase of office machinery where the costs do not exceed 10% of the total eligible amount of the project, except where the computer hardware is necessary for the production process;
  • costs of preparation of marketing materials,
  • construction materials for repair works of manufacturing or service facilities,
  • VAT if the aid applicant is not registered in the register of TAXABLE persons.

Non-assisted sectors:

  • international transport,
  • the provision of gambling services,
  • retail trade, with the exception of the establishment of specialised trading venues for the disposal of domestic products;
  • wholesale trade,
  • manufacture or trade of alcohol and tobacco products,
  • financial intermediation services,
  • manufacture or sale of firearms and ammunition (excl. cold weapons, arballet)
  • the aid is not granted to the sectors and activities referred to in Article 1(1) of Commission Regulation No 1407/2013. Where the applicant is also active in the sectors and carries out the activities referred to in Article 1(1) of Commission Regulation No 1407/2013, it shall ensure that the activities of these sectors or costs are separated from those granted de minimis aid, ensuring that the activities in those sectors or the activities concerned do not benefit from the aid granted. *

* Explanatory note: This paragraph does not support primary production of agricultural products, fisheries and aquaculture, activities related to exports to third countries or Member States.
