Velocross “gruzzi” in Anchupans

On October 19, the Rēzekne municipality of Anchupan took place in the forest for the first time in a Velocross “gruzzi eye” where participants from all Latvia were started. This was a bonus stage at the end of the 2014 season.
The Velocross “grill eye” is a mountain two-wheel race that will take place in several stages (four) along a marked track. The goal of the competitions is to diversify the currently available mountain bicycle competitions in Latvia, creating high difficulty, intense cycling traces and developing cycling mastery. Make the competition attractive to viewers and supporters by creating short circular circles to make it interesting for co-workers, supporters and viewers to follow the events of the competition.
Even though the weather was not the best, there were 40 participants on the startup of the Anchupan mountains. There was no criticism, rapid trips, and steep rises, which inevitably made the spectators fascinating. After the finish, the participants were delighted with the delicious fish soup and the winners received medals, diplomas and money prizes.
Thank you this time to the organisers of the Velocrosa “gruzzi” and the association “sports club Magnen”, which brought together these types of competitions to Latgale and directly to the Rēzekne municipality. A huge gratitude to Rēzekne's municipality for financial support, without which it would be impossible to organise a cycling competition in Anchupans.
Velocross “gruzzi” in Anchupans will return to the 2015 season, when more participants and supporters from all Latvia will be expected to gather.
