The lake is located in the Vērēmu parish of Rēzekne. The average depth is 3.8 metres and the maximum depth is 7.4 metres. There are five islands in the lake.
From 1977 to 1999, the Adamova Lake with the surrounding landscape was a complex nature reserve.
