Low-ice fishing race for shampoos
Kaunatas parish residents have developed a great winter tradition for several years – low-ice fishing competitions. Local residents are willing to participate in competitions, thereby promoting fishing, both as an active holiday in free nature, as a way of meeting together and as a way to see the closest surroundings. This time, the shambles went to Ludza's municipality, Plisūna Lake.
In the early morning of March 2, 20 Kaunatas parish enthusiasts sat on the bus to go. At the destination, the fishermen were met BY Kaunatas parish sports organizer Peter Kablanov. At the beginning of the competition, the sports organizer resembled the requirements of the competition and the fishing could begin.
The competition ran for five hours. Although the shining of the sun with a strong wind did not prevent the shampowners from actively working on the algae, hoping for a greater role.
At the end of the competition, the weighting of the roles and the compilation of the results took place.
1 st place - Arthur White (5.108 kg)
2 nd place - Sergei Selivonchik (5.092 kg)
3 rd place: Leonard Silov (4.559 kg)
The largest fish of 0,200 kg and the smallest fish is 0,004 kg “nocopulated” Sergei Selivonchik.
The latest competitor, Valdis Novikov, and the senior member of the competition, Stanislavs Margevics, were also awarded this year.
The participants were awarded with diplomas and gifts that were organised by the association “Razna National Park Society” this year. Thank you very much for your support.
After the competition, the participants were greeted by pies and hot tea. But the most delicious was the fish soup, which was on the fire. Thank you for the delicious soup gateway for Divanovsk.
