Bikava (Gaigalavas) Highest Church of Jesus Church
The wooden church in Bikava was built in 1794. The present church was built in 1825 in the classicist style with the support of the parish and the owner OF the Bikava estate, S. Benislavsk. The church was consecrated in 1896. Overall, the church architecture is very eclectic. 20.gs. In the 60-70 s, the church was overhauled and rebuilt, built by organs (masterars Romualds Jermas). In 1976, the centre of the central altar was placed with a crux gloriosa. There is a wall and a metal fence around the church with Gothic triple gates. In 2005, the development of the project's sacral tourism in Gaigalavas parish was carried out by an indoor cosmetic repair for the Catholic Church of Bikava, the Catholic Catholic Church of Bikava. In 2017, the parish implemented a project co-financed by the Western Bank charity fund “The central altar restoration of the Catholic Catholic Church of Bikava. The Church was subjected to the restoration of the main altar, which was carried out by Stanislav Astich, an old-master of restoration.

Data on the construction of the Catholic Church in Sherjans are contradictory. Gustav Mantefeil said that Sherjan and the Bikava parks were serviced by Bernardian monks from Viļāniem. The swamp has a variety of natural habitat complexes. A protected nature object of local significance is Old-jet park (established 1972, area 5,5 ha).
