The parish of Chornajas is the fifth largest of the parish of Rezekne Municipality, located in the picturesque scene, Latgale Highness Raznava hills. It borders the parish of Kaunas, Stalerowa, Griškanan, Luznava and Ozolaine. The parish of Chornajas is the water boundary of Lake Razna with the parish of Makoņkalns. The parish is the two largest villages, Chornaya and Ratnieki. From the administrative centre, the Chornajah village to Rezekne is 17 km.

The parish is located 14 lakes, the largest of which is Ismer - Zogotu lake (147 ha), Lake Baļinova (12 ha), as well as 1822 ha Razna lake aquatorium.

Dukstigal Virgin Catholic Church

By 1960, there were two congregations, white Dukstigal and black Dukstigal.

White Dukstigal wooden church on stone walls, built in 1775. From outside it was vertically embroidered with planks, and the roof was made of wooden boards, and a decorative elevation with iron cross was created. The church was surrounded by a garden surrounded by a stone wall fence and gates in red brick posts. Since the Soviet authorities were not allowed to have two churches in one place, in 1960 it was broken, despite the fact that the church was an architectural monument and the oldest wooden church in Latgale, then a 367-year-old building. 

The first Catholic Church of Dukstigal was built in 1776 and dedicated to the honour of the Holy Tree. In 1827, the church was completely restored and it existed until 1922, when a new wooden church was built at the time of this church. The church was built, but during the Second World War, on 26 July 1944, the church was burned.

The current wooden church was built in 1947 during the operation of Ludwig Krudan, who bought a large house, which was broken, and the materials were transferred to the black Dukstigal, where the church of the burnt church built the church, drawing it to the honour of the Virgin.

Prayer of the Old Believers of Rachine (Rachine)

The church of the Rechin Old Believers' parish was built in 1912. The construction of the building was led by Sergei Lobzov from Rezekne. The gods have been sanctioned by the honour of the Sv. Above the roof, a small tower is raised in the eastern part of the roof, which is closed by a small bulb-shaped dome with a cross.
