Honor the best Latgale teachers

By 9 September, applications are pending on behalf of Nicodema Ranana, in order to be awarded the prizes for the best Latgale teachers for the fifth year.
Nominations may be submitted in five categories: the promotion and implementation of the Latgalian language, cultural history and municipality education in the educational or study environment; on innovation in the educational process; on a modern and creative approach to the education of pupils' work and the training of positions; on successful Debbie (applicants for teachers whose length of service does not exceed three years) and regarding the creation of the Latgalian environment and the strengthening of Latgalic values in pre-school educational institutions. The fifth nomination is present at the request of the teachers themselves. In addition, other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the jury.
The Latvian Cultural Society (LKB) and the competition are organised in collaboration with the Rēzekne Technology Academy (RTA) and all Latgale municipalities. This year, the Council for Development of Latgale Planning Region (LPRAP) is involved in organising the competition – the biggest thanks for it! The aim of the competition is to strengthen the prestige and visibility of the pedagogical profession in society, honouring outstanding achievements in pedagogical activity, the development of Latvian and Latgalian cultural traditions in the new generation.

The great Roman Catholic clerk and educator Nicodam Ranan (1870 –1933) are Latgale First Awaken Employees with an impressive contribution to Latgale culture and education. Candidates of the nikodema Ranana prize in several nominations, mentioning his diverse pedagogical activity, will be evaluated BY a jury approved by THE Ministry of Education and Science, representatives of Latgale local government, education and cultural employees. The ceremony of the award ceremony is held annually in one of Latgale's municipalities. It has already been determined that the final event will be held on 22 September at the premises of the Rēzekne Technology Academy. In previous years, the award ceremony has been held in both Rezekne and Ludza, Viļānos and Preilos.
