The Lebanese park has grown more than 70 young trees and bushes

Sinks Aurea White, makeup Sibirica white, wool-shaped Irbenes, clock forsyria, smooth carts Nana, normal willows Bullbow, spruce Dundanga – in total 70 new bushes and tree plantations within the forest days were planted on Friday in the municipality OF Rēzekne Ozolaines parka.

After the Order of the Benislavsky Order of the late 19 th century, the Laizāns Park of 4,5 ha, with tree alleys and ponds, has become a natural monument of national significance. Five years ago, the cleaning work has been performed – cleaned ponds, shrubs, resting places and bridges installed in the shadows of the old trees. The park's landscape diversity lacked the bush. As the environmental designer and gardener Dina Zvejsalniece acknowledged, the work done during the forest days is a great success. "There are mostly big trees in the park. The lowest layer is now, the bush, especially it was needed at the pond and the beautiful bridge to make us happy throughout the year. The ponds will have a natural hedgehog that can be compared to a calm painting,“ ”that Dina Fisherniece.

On Friday, October 9, the planting of trees and bushes took place in a seminar organised by the Latvian municipal council, “Simultanate Smart in Local Government Forests and Parks!” In the framework of “Forest Day 2020”, to this Maltas secondary school unit in the primary school building, which is located in the Laizāns Park, inviting local government representatives and natural experts. The participants of the seminar not only planted but also gained new knowledge and shared experiences on forest management processes, as well as trends in the maintenance of ancient manors and parks. On the other hand, the primary school pupils of the main school of the castle presented their performance 'or Prieditte, or the tree!', telling them about the benefits of expedition through the Farmers' Forest Trails, presenting the newly created routing page to the natural tree hunting! '”so that any interested party can familiarise themselves with the Lebanese Park. Young people were also active in planting works.

Forest dienas took place within the framework of the forest development fund project.
