The Nature Protection Board informs that Cabinet Regulation No. 718 “amendments to Cabinet Regulation No. 447 of 26 June 2007, Personal Protection and Use Regulations of Razna National Park” is in force. These, in support of the initiative of the population, have been initiated by the Nature Protection Board in order to reduce the obstacles to the development of the Razna National Park area in the nature park zone and the natural reserve zone, which is not in contradiction with the objectives of the establishment and protection of the specially protected nature area. The amendment clarifies the rules laying down the modalities for the implementation of industrial fishing rights for certain fish network meters by means of a vessel with an internal combustion engine capacity of up to 7,46 kW (10 PS). In future, by 30 December each year, the Nature Protection Board, in cooperation with local governments, will have to determine the number of fish network meters to be used in the following calendar year. The amendments set out the procedures for the use of vessels for the tourist service provider. The permit issued by the Nature Protection Administration will be valid for three calendar years from the day of issuance of the permit. The amendments specify the modalities for the use of motor vehicles in the ice period. These Regulations prescribe the amount of authorisations to be issued for the use of vessels in Razna Lake, Ezers, Zosnas, Salinas, Olovecas and Biža (Rundens civil parish) in one calendar year. In addition, the issuance of authorisations will be permissible in the light of the latest available information on the ecological status of lakes and the views of local authorities. The written permits of the nature protection authority for the use of vessels issued until 30 November 2014 shall be valid until 31 December 2014. Submission form for the receipt of a new permit: http://www.daba.gov.lv/upload/File/DOC/VEI_IADT_udenstransp.docx The change is a result of several activities in the nature reserve, nature park and neutral areas. For example, it is not permitted to burn dry grass and cane areas as well as forest strawberries in the nature reserve zone. In turn, the establishment of publicly available information, recreational and tourist infrastructure objects in the neutral zone will require the written permission of the nature protection administration and the relevant local government. In view of the fact that the construction and maintenance of various infrastructure facilities and civil engineering works often requires areas less than 10 ha, these activities are permitted by written permission of the nature conservation authority, specifying the procedures for the division of land units, the construction or maintenance of these facilities, and allowing the separation of existing land units. These Regulations are supplemented by several points in the management of natural monuments.
