Twelve families from Griškānu, Stoļerovas, Audriņu, Feimaņu, Silmalas parish, signed an agreement on engagement in the “work therapy” project on 6 May. The families involved in the project will receive EUR 83.00 in order to be able to purchase small gardens, purchase the necessary farm goods for the care of small gardens and the maintenance of the farm.
It should be noted that the project “working therapy”, in collaboration with the Norwegian Red Cross (NSK) Oplandes (Oppland) Committee, Rezekne Municipality's social service and the Latvian Red Cross (LSK) Rezekne Committee, is implemented for a second year. Also last year, 12 families took part in the project, which was followed by both television and social service and the Rēzekne LSK Committee, but representatives from Norway, SEE Oppland Committee, had arrived in the autumn to verify the results achieved, so that this year, the cooperation partners were awarded EUR 1000 for the implementation of the project.
Let's be lucky for the project participants!
