The Community Resource Centre will be opened in Rezekne municipality

On 27 May at 12.00 An opening festival of the Community Resource Centre of Rezekne will be held, organised by the Centre for Education Initiatives in cooperation with the British Council representation in Latvia. The Community Resource Centre is dedicated to the free nature of Sakstagala Jānis KCo. in the area of primary school. The establishment of the Community Resource Centre took part in the population of the Community of different ages, the parents of the pupils and the grandparents.
This is the fourth Community resource centre opened under the “active Community” initiative. The main idea of the initiative is to develop educational institutions and local community cooperation skills and opportunities as well as the promotion of social entrepreneurship.
Both the site cleaning talent and the stock “bring their old tyres” were organised during the establishment of the Rēzekne municipality. A survey on the opportunities that parents can offer to promote the development of society was also organised. The survey showed that parents were very responsive and open to cooperation with school, shared their experiences and knowledge.
The Community Resource Centre will be a place to contribute to the development of local populations by organising various activities for the benefit of the population.
At the opening event of the Community Resource Centre, the representatives of Zane Matesovič, Rēzekne Municipality and Sakstagala parish administration and Community activists will participate in the event on 27 May.

The publicity of the event may result in filming and photography at the time. The event is organised under all the provisions of the Covid-19 security.
