Media club discusses the ethics of communication
Lendes, Berzgales, foam, Audrina, Griškana parish informative editors participate in the discussion cycle in the project “media club” to evaluate their Internet usage habits, learn critical thinking and build a new circle of friends.
The project provides a number of lessons - online discussions. The participants of the activities are local influence leaders – journalists, representatives of the Rēzekne municipality parish informative publications, librarians, cultural house leaders, other stakeholders. Connection Links will be sent in the lesson after registration.
On 9 and 16 February, the discussion project “media club” will be chaired by the docent of the Rēzekne Technology Academy, the researcher Sandra Murinska. Discussion topic – communication ethics in social media.
The discussion will look at and discuss aspects that are topical in the post-truth era: at a time when public opinion is unrestricted, the events are interpreted on the basis of emotions, no facts and arguments when disinformation and counterfeits replace the truth.
In order to form a society that creates appropriate communication in the public space, it must be informed about what is ethical in communication. Therefore, the discussions will address the following key issues: firstly, what is communication and how it gets? What is the ethics and what is the communication ethics? And, above all, how to communicate in the post-truth age?
During the debate, the theoretical aspects of these communication and ethics will be discussed, seeking to find appropriate and appropriate examples in their public communication.

Upon request for participation in the project, a certificate will be issued.
