Visit of the Ambassador of Canadian Ambassador to Latvia

The Ambassador of Canada, Kevin Rex, visited the Rēzekne municipality on 27 and 28 November.
The Ambassador of Rezekne, Nautrēnu and Maltas secondary schools, read a lecture for secondary school students about Canada, while students AT Nautrēnu in the secondary school yard had access to the military equipment and equipment exhibition of the Canadian Army battle group.
As a continuation of the visit, the Ambassador visited the largest employer in Rezekne municipality - THE company “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA.
On 28 November, the Ambassador of Canada, Kevin Rex, visited the municipality of Rezekne, where he met the President of the Council of Rezekne, Monweed Schwarz, Vice-President Elhusband Pizani, Executive Director Janis Troška, Head of Development Planning Division Anne Yupham, external communications specialists Inta Rimšani.
The Ambassador of Canada to Latvia Kevin Rex told him that he took office two months ago, and this is his first visit outside Riga: “I like it very much in Latvia, because nature and hospitality are very reminiscent of Canada.“ I think we'll probably think of a collaboration with Rēzekne. ”
The President OF the Rēzekne District Council, Monvīds Švarcs, stressed that it would certainly be possible to cooperate in the field of information technology, while THE RSEZ SIA company of Rezekne is already exporting its products to Canada: “since there are strong agriculture and wood processing in both countries, we would certainly be able to exchange experience in these areas. We will also be pleased to be able to cooperate in the field of tourism and education."
At the end of the visit, the Ambassador visited Lūznavas Manor with a delegation.
