Library week in Rezekne municipality

This year, a library week is held in Latvia from 18 to 24 April, entitled “The power of the library: learn, do, inspire!”

The thematic framework for the weekly activities of the library is diverse, with a wide coverage of the various target groups. The main objective of the measures is to demonstrate the strength of the libraries – their importance in the local Community, society, the country as a whole, by persuading their intentions, inspiring others.

By offering library resources and services on a daily basis, we want to focus on existing and, in particular, the attention of potential users, sharing, encouraging action.

Library is the library of libraries who create a library, its environment, and offers. Library power is library users and supporters. The power of libraries is also a product of co-operation – knowledge, skills, attitudes.

In each of 35 public libraries, a number of activities and events will be held within the library week, so only a few are mentioned, showing their diversity.

Meetings with assets and significant counsellors:

• “Remember Santiago Road”. Meeting with painter and ceramic storm in the Ushpeli Maltese civil parish library on April 20, 16.00;
• “The priests serving in the Feathery Friends.” On the Thematic afternoon of the meeting at Feimau civil parish library on April 22, 15.00.

Information and educational activities:

• “40 citations that inspire and help overcome the difficulties”. Presentation in the Valga parish library;
• “Library - location of information search”. Informative hour for pupils in the Kaunatas parish 1 st library on 20 April;
• Acquainting new library offers invites Rikavas parish library on April 22, 15.00;
• Consultation on e-services in Silmalas parish in Rwanda Library;
• “Library - an assistant in your day!” A roadmap for the digital world in Silmalas parish in the Stikana Library;
• Continuation of the interactive activity of “Latgale grōmotys runoj” in the Valga parish library.

Library in virtual environment:

• “Audrina parish library in time.” A digital presentation of the history of the library;
• Video view in the history of the Sokolku civil parish library;
• “On the Siledge History trails.” A digital quiz on the Facebook page of the Silmalas parish library.

“The blind date with the book – inspired stories” in the Lendzu parish library from 22 April.

“Encrypted dough tournament” in Kaunas 1 st Library, “first meeting with library” in the library of the Parish of Stalerova and Luznava.

These are not the only events in this library week - various exhibitions of literature, handwriting, business, jewellery, drawings, photographs, greeting cards, toys and Easter decorations will be found in several libraries. Come back to the library and there will be a pleasant surprise.

All stakeholders are invited to visit libraries from 19 April - a library week so that everyday life becomes meaningful, active and inspiring.
