Call for schools to participate in the campaign “today in rural areas”

The Latvian Rural Consultation and Education Centre started the stock “today in the countryside” in February. The promotion takes place in facebook.com and draugiem.lv pages of the portal “today in the countryside” and invites students from 12 to 16 years of age to attend. In the course of the whole year, monthly large contests and page content will be organised in the course of the year, with binding information on the processes in nature, the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors and other environmental issues. In the end of the year, in November, the most active participants in the competition will receive prizes – tablets or, a class excursion of 1000 euros!

Participants can start both individually and together with an all class or interest education collective, so we call on teachers and collective managers to play an active role and encourage young people to participate!

In February, the first month of the month was announced - “ON THE TRAIL” - and the task of the competition – to create a photo of 5 self-photographed photos in relation to the theme of the month. The deadline for completion of task 1 is 7 March.
