Audriņu primary school students meet with Ludza administration border guards
Audriņu primary school pupils were looking forward to meeting with representatives of the Latvian State Border Guard, with whom co-operation for the school continues for a second year. Honourable guests spent all day in school, giving students a lot of surprise.
Lieutenant V. Elise and corporal J. Stepanov said excitedly about the work of border guards, the possibilities of acquiring it, the film on the work of this service was shown. There was an opportunity, not only to look at it, but also to keep specific working features - war binoculars, wand, handcuffs, armoured jackets, etc.
Another surprise was expected in the school sports area – the service dogs were also brought to demonstration. They searched for the “lost” keys, the hangings, and other things, and obediently performed the teams, also in the search for people, reporting on executed teams with loud tyres.
Everyone watched with interest as the arrest of a criminal. It was performed by Senior Sergeant Sergei Ribakov with his service dog. MR Ribakov is also a graduate of Audriņu. In the school years he often took part in the Olympics, receiving prizes. He is now a guardian of our country and a good example of our pupils and girls. The children also enjoyed the offer of a service with a quasi-cyclical service. Many pupils have an interest in the profession of border guards and will encourage them to learn well and respect healthy lifestyles, because only educated, targeted and honest people are able to properly carry out a high mission - protect their homeland!
It should be noted that a series of Latvian national festival events took place in November during the national holidays in November. Several exhibitions have been created – photo and drawings exhibition “My Latvia”, a greeting card competition where students congratulate Latvia on birthday. On the day of Lāčplēsis, Jautro competitions and rests were organised, with the participation and strength of the school enthusiasts and tenants, visiting guests from Daugavpils – the participants of the street gymnastics movement – Ganadijs Petrovs, Aleksandrs Ivanovs and Aleksejs Jeliseyev, with their dance program.
At the 96 th anniversary of the establishment of the Latvian state, a formal concert was held, which included not only Audriņu primary school pupils, but also guests – the dancers of the Rēzekne City sports dance club – Aleksejs Tretjaks and Meggie peaked, Elina Karzubova and novo Mivrinik, the 5 th high school pub orchestra of Rezekne (manager Dennis Smirnov - Audriņu primary school graduate, who selected his future profession as a musical educator). The concert also included small participants from the Rēzekne city pre-school educational institution “tower” -- the group “warriors in wind”, who introduced students to Latvia, adding their performances to songs, dances and poems.
The school collective expresses gratitude for the dancers of the sports dance club VIVA, the Rēzekne 5 th Secondary School blower orchestra, THE PII group “warrior in the wind”, the participants of the Daugavpils street gymnastics movement, as well as the members of the Ludza Border Guard Administration regarding civil and patriotic education, promotion of healthy lifestyles and promotion of professional orientation, promoting the acquisition of Latvian cultural values.
