Catering support in Rezekne municipality continues to distance learning time in classes 5-12

On the basis of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers that as of 4 January 2021, the acquisition of the General Basic Education Programme and the General Secondary Education Programme in Classes 5-12 will continue to be carried out, as from 11 January 2021 the acquisition of the basic education programme in Classes 5-6 will continue to be carried out.

On 3 December of the Rēzekne District Council, amendments were made to the decision that all the students of the Rezekne municipality, who are drifting away, should be provided with food packages.

Food packages for the period from 4 January to 22 January (15 distant training days) for all students of Classes 7-12 of Rezekne and for the period from 11 January to 22 January (10 distant training days) are planned to be issued for all classes 5-6 of the Rezekne municipality starting from 18 January 2021.

For classes 1-4, winter holidays are extended to 22 January.

In addition to food parcels, the pupils of classes 5-9 will also receive milk and fruit in the framework of the product distribution programme “milk and fruit school” for the month of January.

The supply process shall be organised in accordance with the binding regulations of the local government, taking into account all epidemiological safety measures for restricting the spread of Covid-19 infection.
