“I wrote those articles written by the sun …”
The exhibition and thematic event IN THE parish library of Maltas began with the following lines of songs. We offered to look at and explore the diverse Latvian people's ethnographic belts. At the same time, a beautiful and decorative object, these are both ancient clothing accessories and an attribute of the Latvian People's Identity. The belt weaving traditions are still alive. There are still older generation of people who are willing to share experience and skills. Children and young people also experience interest in ethnography.
In this event, Maltas secondary school students and their teacher could be acquainted with not only the exhibited lumbar exhibition, the literature on ethnography, the newspapers of Latvia and the people of the peoples. but also acquainted with the belt of the belts, our parish honour, the teacher, the cultural worker, the folklorists Annu Babri. She shared the experience of taking this job and demonstrating in the creative workshop how the thread thread with the help of the weaving rack was a jostle. The participants in the event could also try their hands in practice. At first, only the girls were sitting in front of the nurse, and then it seemed interesting to the boys. It seems like Diana, Veronica, Karin, did well. But the greatest joy was the maximum, which turned out to be a good proxy. It turns out that it's not just a girl! We, librarian, tried to wake hands. Ethnography objects, their manufacture, and are interesting to all.
Thank the honourable Anne Babrei for his responsiveness and participation in the event.
