Call for proposals for THE EFF measure “Processing and marketing of fishery and aquaculture products”
Rural Support Service (LAD) announces an extension of the eighth round of the open tender project applications TO THE EU European Fisheries Fund (EFF) and the Action Programme “Processing and Marketing of Fishing and Aquaculture Products”
The objective of the measure is to increase the added value of fishery and aquaculture products, increase safety and productivity of workers, reduce negative environmental impacts, ensure the quality of products, including the reduction of harmful substances in fish products, as well as the production of new products and the use of fish-processing by-products and waste.
The applicant may be:
- A fish processing establishment recognised by the Food and Veterinary Service;
- Food and Veterinary Service is recognised by a food company of animal by-products of animal origin which deals with the processing of fish blending products or waste;
- A natural or legal person established in the food and veterinary service who produces fishery products under domestic conditions;
- an existing merchant consisting of a new fish processing establishment or a non-food-based animal by-products;
- a newly established merchant who forms a new fish processing establishment or a non-food chain of fishery and aquaculture products for which the first accounting or taxation year has not yet been concluded.
The adoption of the eighth-round project applications will take place from: 20 October 2014 to 19 December 2014.

The final date for the implementation of the projects submitted shall be 31 August 2015. The project application form and methodological instructions for filling it are available on the website www.lad.gov.lv.
Project applications are to be submitted TO LAD regional agricultural administration customer service units or LAD customer service part in Riga, Republic of Republic 2, 2 nd floor (tel. 67027693, 67027235).
A project application in the form of an electronic document, signed with electronic signature and certified by time stamp in accordance with the procedures laid down in the Electronic Documents Law, may also be submitted: lad@lad.gov.lv
